Way back 1999, the Kappa Alpha fraternity has faced a lot of controversy when a pledge member damaged one of his testicles so bad during one of their hazing rituals. The doctors didn’t have much of a choice because of the severe damage and had to remove the testicle later on. This became a reason for the fraternity to face criminal hazing charges and to be suspended for a time.
There are really many human rights advocates who openly express opposition regarding this practice but unfortunately, the number of fraternity casualties continues to grow each year.
Just try browsing online and you will see that there are more hazing stories out there that some of us may have just never heard of yet but it is really true that there are a lot of these instances that still happen each day. They happen in many different places and we should all be aware so our loved ones wouldn’t fall victims.
